We supply and manufacture solid wood flooring in English and European oak. We select our own logs while they are still in the woodland allowing us to specialise in long and wide boards, which show the rich character of West Country timber. Crocadon floors are kiln dried and finished at 22mm thickness. They can be laid as structural flooring over joists, or fitted over solid or existing surfaces.

It takes 12 months to mill, dry and kiln the timber at Crocadon, before the boards are selected, machined and finished. To ensure uniformity of quality we also machine and profile oak from France and Germany in our Cornish workshops.

All flooring prices are ex. Crocadon and delivery can be arranged by local carrier to ensure that your floor arrives in good condition. We can provide a DIY guide for fitting or recommend approved fitters who operate throughout Devon and Cornwall.

English Oak Character Floor

The character oak floor has a beautiful long clear grain with a small number of pin knots and burrs. The oak boards are rich in colour and character. Board widths range between 80-250mm and supplied randomly. Lengths are up to 4.0 metres.

All Crocadon Sawmill floors are unfinished to allow a final sanding after laying. We recommend using OSMO Polyx Oil for a long lasting natural finish. Polyx Oil is a mixture of natural oils and plant waxes, which is easy to look after and brings out the full colour of the wood.
